About CMC Reimo campervans
Founded in 1980, CMC (Concept Multi-Car) Reimo has established a decades-long reputation as a pioneer in the UK campervan conversion industry. The company was born from a desire to bring German engineering standards and innovative modular components to the British market. From its inception, CMC formed a strategic partnership with Reimo GmbH, one of Europe's largest manufacturers of campervan components and accessories. This collaboration allowed CMC to introduce the 'Variotech' bonded seat system and specialized elevating roofs to UK customers, setting a benchmark for safety and flexibility in small-to-medium campervans. Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, the company solidified its position by focusing almost exclusively on the Volkswagen platform, becoming a recognised name for VW T4, T5, and T6 conversions. Over the years, CMC Reimo has moved through various facility expansions to meet the growing demand for bespoke and production-line conversions. Today, they operate as a family-run business from their headquarters in Kent, continuing to manufacture campervans that adhere to strict Type Approval standards. Their longevity in the sector is a testament to their focus on structural integrity and their ability to adapt German technical innovations for the specific needs of the UK leisure vehicle market.
