Side Dinette: What it means and why it matters

A side dinette is a booth-style seating area along one wall of a caravan or motorhome, typically with a table that lowers to create an additional sleeping berth.

Side dinettes are common in family caravans as they provide daytime seating and dining for 4 without taking up the main lounge area, and convert to an extra bed at night. They are positioned along one wall with bench seats facing each other across a table. The table drops to create a flat sleeping surface. Side dinettes are particularly useful in caravans where the main lounge converts to a bed. The dinette gives an alternative sleeping space.

    Why this matters

A practical layout feature for families or anyone who wants flexible sleeping and dining arrangements without a longer caravan.
